ESSENCE CREASE CUT REVIEW

I have always LOVED LOVED LOVED using Essence Products. Firstly, well, because they are really well priced. Secondly, their products are not too harsh on the skin or nails. Thirdly because they are always coming up with new, FABOULOUS ideas to keep their fans coming back. Essence has always been my go to product if I needed something that didn’t cost me a while kidney and a liver along with my youth and selling my soul to the devil. They really cater for all skin types, most economic statuses and is readily available at almost all Dischem and Most Clicks stores.
Okay so I digress, (what’s new), in this video I decided to try out the half crease cut that was actually inspired by Manny Mua. (Love him by the way, him and Jefree star should totally come to South Africa) Anyywaaayyyyyy.... I loved the challenge of the look, and though not overly dramatic, was a fun and actually easy look to create. (once i got the just of it) I loved that the Essence products bought that soft yet pigmented touch to the look that I was trying to create. The pallets that I used were form the Beauty Bloggers Secrets Series and they are a MUST HAVE. They are not only great with their colours and pigments, but Essence has given Bloggers a voice. I love the fact that the products were created by bloggers for bloggers but also for people who aspire to them, and even to those who don’t. Everything is so well planned and well thought out, which you can see in the packaging as well as the actual products.
All products can be found on the Dischem website or in store.
Thanks Essence for bringing out yet another product I HAD to try.

For the availability of the product I rate 4/5 (some stores were sold out instantly, not a bad thing for Essence, but bad for customers who couldnt find their desired pallets)

For the packaging , marketing, and thought behind the product I rate 5/5. The packaging was fantastic

For the OVERALL look, pigments and colours I give 5/5

Sexpo makes sex great again: Jozi gets ready for the sexiest show in SA this March

Sexpo makes sex great again: Jozi gets ready for the sexiest show in SA this March

Sex: whether it's taboo, whispered about behind closed doors, joked about or discussed in the doctor's office, it's an integral part of being human. Sexpo, SA's premier health, sexuality and lifestyle expo, is campaigning to make sex great again by ensuring that sex and sexuality are topics that are on everybody's lips! The ever-popular erotic expo will be held from Wednesday 22 March through to Saturday 25 March at the Sandton Convention Centre, in Exhibition Halls 1 and 2.

For years, Sexpo has been tantalising SA audiences with an array of thrilling exhibits: from stunning adult film stars and adrenaline packed-stage shows to cheeky competitions and shopping opportunities galore. However, Sexpo is not just about the tease. This expo is a vital part of creating an open conversation about the various facets of human sexuality, what turns people on and how to have a healthy and enjoyable sex life. Sexpo's tongue-in-cheek ad campaign featuring a certain famous American commander in chief, highlights that we need to get the conversation flowing around sex and make sex great again. (Sexpo - Make sex great again)

Sean Newman, Managing Director of Sexpo, comments, "At Sexpo we strive to bring all the facets of sexuality to light and to stimulate conversation. It's important to talk about the ins and outs of human sexuality but there is no reason why it can't be done in a fun and enjoyable way. That's why we want to make sex great again, for everyone!"

The line up at Sexpo is as steamy as ever and ranges from appearances by Miss Nude SA, adult film stars Jessa Rhodes and Anna Bell Peaks and Pricasso the painter, to the Theatre Erotic, the Sexpo Workshops and even Man Cave strip poker. There will be numerous lounges such as a Swingers Lounge, a BDSM area and Teasers and Teaze-Hers Lounges. One not-to-be-missed attraction is the international Thunder from Down Under stage show. These hot Australian hunks are hitting Sexpo straight from Las Vegas and their sizzling dance routines and gorgeous looks will have the audience swooning. Catch them at the Thunder Dome area, which can be accessed with the purchase of a Sexpo ticket. Thunder Down Under shows are at 7:30pm on Wednesday and Thursday, 8pm on Friday and 12 and 7pm on Saturday. Anyone who wishes to attend should get there early, as doors open an hour prior to each show and seating is on a first-come, first serve basis.

Sexpo is strictly for over 18s only and pricing is as follows: R150 General Admission, which includes a ticket to the exhibition floor, stage shows and floor attractions, and R299 for VIP admission which includes 1 x Sexpo ticket, fast track queues and a goodie bag valued at R500. Tickets can be bought from Computicket and more information about what there is to see and do at Sexpo can be viewed at www.sexpo.co.za

The countdown to the Sainte Dévote Rugby 7s Tournament begins

The countdown to the Sainte Dévote Rugby 7s Tournament begins as the SA team
receives their brand new kit

Team spirit, persistence, solidarity and positivity – these are the values embodied by
the young South African athletes chosen to participate in the Sainte Dévote
Tournament, a rugby 7s tournament, which is being held in Monaco in March 2017.
This week, the team, which is made up of youngsters from the Western Cape, will fly
to Monaco to participate in this exciting event. This is made possible by the joint
efforts of the South African Rugby Legends Association (SARLA), The Princess
Charlene of Monaco Foundation and Cell C. The team will also be receiving fantastic
new kit prior to their departure.

Each of the 12 players and the coach will be fully kitted out from top to toe, so that
they can represent their country at the tournament looking smart and professional.
The full playing kit includes, SA Rugby Legends t-shirts, caps, shorts, tracksuits,
jackets and backpacks from FLYA Sportswear. Rugby boots and trainers are being
co-sponsored by Puma for each player. The players will also receive some additional
kit from the Monaco Rugby Federation on arrival.

For these youngsters, a rugby tournament such as the Sainte Dévote is an
opportunity of a lifetime to travel, experience new cultures and represent their
country on an international platform. The initiative to form a rugby team is based on
the fact that sport can have a powerful and uplifting effect on the lives of children and
young people.

Gavin Varejes, President of SARLA, says, “This is the third year that SA has sent a
team to participate in this tournament and it is a venture that has gone from strength
to strength. These exceptional young players get so much from the experience and
we wish our 2017 team the best of luck for the tournament. We know you will do SA
proud.” Stefan Terblanche, SARLA CEO, explains that SARLA works extensively to
use rugby as a form of social development and that this is a dream come true for the
players. “We are thankful to all of the sponsors and individuals that have contributed:
Cell C, Richmark Holdings, FLYA Sportswear and Puma. And, of course, we are
incredibly grateful to The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and the Monaco
Rugby Federation for the opportunity to take part in the tournament once again”

Sorbet Creadlestone: First Time Customer.

Today I went to Sorbet at Cradlestone. I didn't go as media or for any special event, I had received a voucher my birthday and I wanted to redeem it.

I had such a great experiance that I thought it only fit to share.

I had never been to Sorbet before, but got some of their products for Christmas which I really loved. What I didn't fully know up until recently is that they are a full service beauty store. You can have your nails done, facials, wax and threading and many offer massages as well.

So I walked into the store and asked how much was on my voucher then went for a bit shopping with my grandmother. Then decided, but wasn't sure if they would be able to accommodate me because they seemed quite busy, that I wanted my nails done. Went back asked the lady at the desk if they could do the design I wanted and if they had availability. To my delight they had an opening for practically straight away which is what I was hoping for.

The lady who did my nails name was Lunga, she was so great and gentle. She was friendly and concentrates so much which I loved. I was worried because the design I wanted came from a picture with a lady who had long nails. She said don't worry we will make it work. And boy did she make it work. It turned out stunningly.  I'm so happy with them.

I'll definitely be returning and I urge others to go there too. The ladies were super friendly and helpful.

They have a wide range of products and a wide range of services.

“Mandela: A Life’s Journey”: a private viewing of an incredible art collection brings
new insight into Nelson Mandela’s life

The inspirational life of Nelson Mandela forms the basis for an extraordinary art
collection that show cases the story of a deeply-beloved South African icon. Circa on
Jellicoe, one of Johannesburg’s most exciting urban art galleries, was privileged to
host a single private viewing of this collection, namely John Meyer’s “Mandela: A
Life’s Journey”. Held on the 23 rd of February 2017, the evening, which was in support
of the Nelson Mandela Foundation, allowed guests to enjoy these powerful and
thought-provoking artworks before they embark on an international tour that will
include some of the artistic capitals of the world.

The series is on loan from a private collection owned by Andrew Dunn, CEO of
Richmark Holdings, and each of the 16 pieces are works in acrylic and sand on
canvas. Dunn commissioned the series from renowned South African artist John
Meyer, whom he considers to be one of South Africa’s greatest living artists. The
series took three years to complete and the result was a heart-warming and
descriptive look at Madiba’s life. The private viewing resulted from the recognised
need to show off the magnificent art pieces to South Africans before the world tour
begins. According to Dunn, “John is a living legend who has painted for the Queen
of England, Paul Allen of Microsoft and many more world and business leaders.
Thus, choosing him to help fulfil my dream of owning a collection based on the life of
Nelson Mandela was an easy decision.”

For Meyer, Nelson Mandela’s rare and universal influence challenged him to raise
his game and reach new levels artistically. Meyer explains of his work, “I want to
explore the private world of people’s lives, the enigmatic unexplained and hidden
emotions.” Having met Mandela on several occasions, Meyer has always been
struck by his saintliness and the fact that he has served as a rallying point for all the
world’s dispossessed. He did, however, try to avoid politics in the series, aiming
rather to capture Mandela’s humanity.

Mark Read, owner of Circa, notes that CIRCA has curated some of the most
intellectually stimulating exhibitions to be shown in contemporary South Africa. He
comments that, “At Circa, we seek to hold exhibitions that cause people to think
about our wonderful country, to question its past and ponder about the future that lies
ahead.” For him, the showing of this collection was a great honour: “This very
tantalizing brief showing of 16 miraculous paintings is the story of our continent’s
greatest human icon painted by the best realist of his generation. What gallery
wouldn’t be proud to show that?”

Superior wines and super athletes: VUKA Rugby and Oldenburg Vineyards launch a

Superior wines and super athletes: VUKA Rugby and Oldenburg Vineyards launch a
campaign to support young SA rugby players

South Africa is internationally famous not only for its legendary rugby athletes but
also for the top-quality wine it produces. Thus, it was a natural fit for SA Rugby
Legends, who manage the VUKA Rugby Development Programme, and Oldenburg
Vineyards to come together to raise funds for social upliftment in disadvantaged
areas of South Africa. Using Cybercellar.com as a platform, Oldenburg has provided
a number of limited-edition cases of its superb wines, with one bottle per case being
autographed by several SA rugby legends. This unique offering will be sold online
through Cybercellar.com, which is South Africa's oldest and most trusted online wine
shop, to raise funds to help underprivileged youth to grow through the sport of rugby.
VUKA Rugby is a unique partnership between the South African Rugby Legends
(SARLA) and the South African Rugby Union (SARU). It was formed to help nourish
and develop athletic talent by identifying young South Africans ages U15 – U19 from
underprivileged areas to play in a structured rugby league. This promotes the
positive values that sport teaches children, showing them the importance of team
work, dedication and persistence. It also creates a pool of up and coming young
rugby players who, through VUKA, have a shot at a brighter future. VUKA will be
played in 11 provinces and in 2017, an estimated 15 000 girls and boys will
participate in the league.

Oldenburg Vineyards, which is an independent family-run boutique vineyard in
Stellenbosch, shares VUKA’s passion for creating a stronger South Africa through
the sport of rugby, which is why they have donated their superb wines to VUKA. Only
150 cases exist and every case contains 12 bottles: 2 bottles each of the Oldenburg
Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Rhodium
Bordeaux blend. Each case will have one signed bottle by a South African Rugby
Legend, and the selling price for a case is R2990. There will also be a competition
where anyone who purchases a case by 31 March stands the chance to win a
magnum signed by 6 rugby legends and a signed rugby jersey. These cases are
available to purchase exclusively through Cybercellar.com and will be available from
Wednesday the 1st of March 2017.

According to the CEO of SARLA, Stefan Terblanche, “We are excited to be
launching this campaign in partnership with Oldenburg Vineyards to raise money for
this fantastic cause. Oldenburg has really impressed us with their enthusiasm for
supporting and creating awareness around rugby development in South Africa. We
are also grateful to Cybercellar.com for their participation.” He adds, “We are all
working together to put a smile on the faces of many young athletes in SA, and I
know that we will be helping to change their lives for the better.”

RAW Urban Gardening: Late Summer Planting

RAW Urban Gardening

Late Summer Planting

The end of a Joburg summer is a bitter sweet time. Scorching days and sticky,
hot nights are coming to an end. But as the temperature starts to cool slightly,
comes an opportunity for a new start in your garden..

With a seed for every season, here are RAW’s suggestions for late summer
planting

• CABBAGE: Cauliflower was certainly the hero veggie last year as a
replacement for all things carb - from cauli-mash, rice, rosties to wraps.
This year, you should keep your eye on the humble cabbage; a win from
both a health and diet variety perspective. Think easy and light chicken
cabbage wraps, Asian slaws or pickled cabbage dishes for fresh meals
and easy side dishes.

RAW Savoy Cabbage, an Italian heirloom that dates back to the 1800s
(like some of us) is a varietal that should be sown in late summer, in full
sun when soil temperatures are between 5 and 18 degrees. The seeds
will germinate in around two weeks and you can harvest around 8-15
weeks later. A friendly kind of veggie, you can grow bean, beets, celery
and onions in the same bed. Avoid greedy climbing beans, strawberries
or eggplant – they don’t always play as nicely in the veggie playground.

• MICRO-GREENS: So much more than decor or a pretty touch, there
is method to the madness of the micro-greens craze. RAW’s
Rainbow Blend of micro-greens is a concoction of flavours from
beetroot, Asian cabbage and kohlrabi to Italian broccoli and radish.
Still in time for light summer salads, micro-greens are easy to grow.
Sow thickly in trays and place on windowsills for best results. Sow
every 5-10 days and snip with scissors when 2-4cm high. If you want
something with a little more kick, try RAW’s Old Mexico version of the
herbs as well. A combination of coriander, red beets, cabbage, radish
and pepper cress, this varietal is screaming for you to make tacos –
and serve a shot of tequila on the side of course.

• SPINACH: And now for the game-changer. RAW Strawberry Spinach
should be sown in full sun 10cm apart. A throwback to North America,
Strawberry Spinach grows tiny, delicate leaves that can be cooked like
spinach or tossed in a salad. Keep an eye out for the red pulpy fruit in
late summer. This variety's berries grow at the base of each stem, and a
plant in full fruit is quite a sight. Wait until seeds are a dark burgundy
before enjoying their sweetly unique flavour. As if this plant wasn't
already the best thing to happen to your garden, you can get a
continuous crop of spinach by making successive plantings every 10
days.

All seeds are available at selected garden centres nationwide. Don’t forget to
get social with us! Follow RAW on Facebook and Instagram while staying up
to date with our latest offerings on our website.
