Top SA show band back to “wow’ Worcester
 


One of South Africa’s best known show bands, Public Opinion, is back to wow Worcester’s music fans when they take to the stage at Golden Valley’s Winners Sports Bar on 26 May 2017. With a reputation for seamlessly switching between a vast range of music styles, Public Opinion has promised to have the crowd swaying and singing along from start to finish.
 
Highly interactive and tailoring their sets to suit their audiences, Public Opinion plays everything, from funk, reggae, pop and Latina, to jazz and gospel. Their universal appeal has taken them to Australia, Israel, Dubai U.A.E, Bahrain, Seychelles, London U.K, Kenya and Turkey where they have performed for audiences of over 25 000 people. They appeared in the famous local talent search show, the Shell Road to Fame as the backing band for all the artists on stage as well as the Show of Lights Festival held annually in Paarl.
 
On stage and fired up, this versatile band keeps their audiences out of their seats, waving their hands and stomping their feet to the soul uplifting groove of their music. These individuals also generate enormous goodwill and human warmth through their extensive musical talents by participating in many fundraisers in aid of the HIV projects.
 
The band comprises Donovan Dean Dyers on bass, keyboards and drums; Ricardo Philander on drums and vocals; Redewhaan Jeppie, the lead vocalist; Trever Samuels on piano and keyboards; Shawn Franke on guitar and bass; Aleshia 'Lee' Solomons on piano and vocals; and Kurt 'Adam' Adams on guitars. Collectively they have some 50 years experience in music.
