South Africa’s musical comedian headlines Hanover Street Comedy Sundowners




Multiple award winning comedian, Deep Fried Man, will unleash his musical hilarity at the next edition of the Hanover Street Comedy Sundowners at GrandWest on 2 July 2017. His material is witty, relevant and combined with hilarious songs which he customises to suit the audience. Armed with his guitar and special brand of humour, Deep Fried Man,has had audiences across the country in fits of laughter since he burst onto the comedy scene in 2010.

He has performed in various comedy shows including the Heavyweight Comedy Jam, the Tshwane Comedy Fiesta, the University of Johannesburg’s Rag's One Night StandLoads of LaughsIt's No JokeJew Must Be Joking and Blacks OnlyComedy. He was the supporting act for Trevor Noah’s one man show Scratch That and has performed in his own one man shows Deeply Fried in 2011 and the more satirical White Whine in 2012. His debut one man show Deeply Fried won aStandard Bank Ovation Award at the 2011 Grahamstown National Arts festival. 

Also on the bill for the comedy showcase are Yaaseen Barnes and Ambrose Uren. Carl Weber, a regular at the Hanover Street Comedy Sundowners, is the host for the evening.
The doors will open at 17h00 and the show will start at 18h00. The cost to enter is R60 per person, strictly for over 18s. Contact 082 588 6662 to book. The first 100 guests through the doors will receive a complimentary drink.
