Enter a world full of magic and adventure at this year’s Disney on Ice. For a limited time only, get to see your favourite Disney characters skate on manmade ice, in the most amazing costumes, performing tricks that you only expect to see in movies. My favourite thing about the show this year was seeing characters from the classic Disney stories like Lion King and Aladdin. It was such a surprise to see stories that I grew up to, come alive with the magic of music and skating.

This was the third time I have seen the show, and I must say each time there is something new, each time there are new costumes that blow my mind, each time I feel the magic and joy. I love that you can be any age and still enjoy the performances that skaters bring to life. Let’s talk about the costumes for a minute… nothing is too big or too small for them to accomplish. During the Lion king scene, there were skaters with Wildebeest costumes, but they were so beautifully designed, that there was a Wildebeest on each arm plus on top the skaters head, ill attach a picture to show the visual. The Elephant in Aladdin was huge and skated along like without a care in the world. The portrayal of Frozen saw amazing aspects come to life, there was fireworks, and snow, an ice castle and magic!!! Dory, nemo and Marlin also made an appearance, although I would have loved to have seen more of them, I must be honest. But none the less I’m so happy that they added them to the show this year. The costumes were also amazing, with the skaters in fish outfits, nailing each trick, it was unbelievable.

The layout was the same as every year, which I do like, because one is able to see almost everything. They really have thought of every aspect when putting the show together.
The merchandise is my favourite thing about the event, after the actual show of course. The different things that you can buy are out of this world. Each time I have gone, I have gotten a slush cup and a flag, so each year I have a new and different one. I love little gimmick items. They are great for bringing back memories and remembering the amazing times and shows. I love that you can be any age and there will be something there for you take home, whether it be a t-shirt, a soft toy, a slush cup, a toy to play with, a programme, popcorn, you name it they had it. The prices range as well so you get what you can afford, or just save up like we always do.

I would absolutely recommend this show to everyone, especially for those who have kids, or those like me, love anything Disney related. Below is some show info for the upcoming shows.
