The spectacular Neon
Run will be taking place at a new venue in Jozi this year. The exciting event
is scheduled to take place on Saturday the 2nd of September 2017 at St
Stithians College in Sandton. This new setting offers a safe family-friendly
environment for participants of all ages. Ample parking is available and the
fantastic venue will host the hottest post-race musical artists.
Already on its fourth
year, fitness fanatics and party animals alike are invited to light up the
night at this colourful event. The Neon Run Johannesburg is comprised of a 5km
race course teeming with incredible activations including paint, disco and
graffiti walls, LED and fire dancers, culminating at the finish line where
participants get to enjoy fantastic live entertainment acts.
The night race is
the perfect opportunity to dress up and indulge in a wonderful fun and fitness
combination, all safely situated at St Stithians College. The race is not
limited to running alone: any athletes wishing to walk, cycle, bring animals
and even skate can cover the brightly lit course and stop in at the various
glow zones to show off their luminescence. The event also offers neon gear for
sale to help racers get ready, set, glow.
Mastermind and
creator, Travis Brown who founded the successful Neon run four years ago
expresses his enthusiasm for this year’s festivities. “Neon Run has built up a diverse and loyal
following. For the last 3 years we have had an average of 12,000 attendees per
year at our Johannesburg events. The production is top class, with high quality
stage and sound, for over 10,000 people, and a lighting, pyro and laser show
which will climax during our headline acts.”
The end of race
after party is going to be electric with top SA performers headlining, making
for an event not to be missed.
