Miss SA and GrandWest walk to feed hungry children

Miss SA 2017, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters joined enthusiastic employees from Sun International’s GrandWest to pound the pavements at the annual Blisters for Bread fun walk at Green Point Stadium on Sunday, 27 August 2017. The event is organised annually in support of the Peninsula School Feeding Association. In addition to sponsoring employees’ participation in this worthwhile fundraising event, GrandWest also sponsored a hospitality marquee.
Blisters for Bread was a resounding success, attracting 12 500 entries and raising R625 000 for the Peninsula School Feeding Association. These finds will enable the Association to provide 1 390 underprivileged school children with a nutritious breakfast and lunch for an entire calendar year.
