South Africa’s unstoppable Parlotones are back at Flamingo this summer

Fans of prolific rock band, The Parlotones will be thrilled to hear that they will be back in Kimberley as part of their Here, There and Everywhere South African Tour 20 October 2017.  The one night only show at Flamingo’s Entertainment Grounds promises all the magic, energy and enigma for which The Parlotones are renowned. Fans will get to see them perform evergreen hits from their 2005 debut album RadioControlledRobots, right through to their more recent songs.

“We are absolutely thrilled that the uber-popular Parlotones have included Port Elizabeth on their nationwide tour. Undoubtedly one of the most popular and talented bands this country has ever seen, they are sure to knock fans off their feet as they take them on a spectacular journey of all their chart topping hits,” says Lameez Suliman, the PR and Promotions Manager at Flamingo Casino.
Since they first launched onto the South African music scene, The Parlotones have rocketed to success; winning several awards, achieving multi-platinum album-selling status, packing out venues for live concerts and enjoying loads of airplay on local radio.

It was their album, Radiocontrolledrobot, that really catapulted them to stardom. It won “Best Rock Album” at the 2006 South African Music Awards and the ballad, “Beautiful”, was used in an Irish Fujifilm television advert. This led to a European license deal with Universal Music. The album achieved Gold Status in 2007. That same year, they released their third album, A world next door to yours, which went on to become South Africa’s biggest selling rock albums of the decade.
The Parlotones have shared a stage with a number of well-known international and local artists including Coldplay, Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys, Shakira, Blue October, Freshlyground, Stardust Galaxies, and Zolani Mahola.

Tickets to their show at Flamingo are priced at R140 per person until 5 October 2017 and thereafter, will be priced at R160 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the casino’s cash desk.
