STATEMENT FROM SA PRODUCER, MATTHEW COOK

Sent to all guests attending the official opening performance ofSPLASH! – THE WATER CIRCUS on Sunday 27 August.
Members of the media and invited guests, thank you for joining us yesterday at the official  opening performance of SPLASH! – THE WATER CIRCUS.
I am Matthew Cook, the local producer of this show and myself and co-producer Weber Brothers Entertainment would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support thus far, leading up to the show opening.
While we wait for the finalised details of when the remaining international acts will arrive this week to join the others already in the show (international artists seen yesterday were in the Russian Swing, the Breakdancer, the Hammock, the Silks, the Statue and Wheel of Death scenes) the decision has been made to cancel this week’s performances to be on the safe side (Thursday 31st August – Sunday 3rd September), to ensure no further patrons are left disappointed while we await the artists’ arrival this week.
Performances from Thursday 7th September until the end of the season on Sunday 17th September will remain open for sales.
The moment we know that the artists are literally aboard the plane heading to South Africa, we will once again get in touch to let you all know that the show is open to the public at The Globe at Silverstar Casino once again.
As mentioned yesterday in my Welcome Announcement at the show, we  would love for you and your family to return to see the full show, attending a performance at your convenience, again as our guests, during the remainder of the season at Silverstar which runs until 17 September, once it re-opens.
As soon as we know the artists are on their way, we will be in touch again to give your further information on the show and the respective acts, as well as the invitation to return.
We sincerely apologise to those that have felt inconvenienced by the show going forward yesterday, but Harry Weber and I felt that, taking into account over 500 children were in attendance yesterday, we believed we couldn’t disappoint them at short notice.
We assure you that we are working with all the relevant departments to ensure that SPLASH is able to reopen shortly.
* For the public in attendance as well yesterday, we are happy to facilitate full refunds.
I am available for any direct conversations wherever required. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly on info@splashcircus.co.za or 074 359 8237.
 Sincerely,
Matthew Cook
SA Producer – Splash! – The Water Circus
