Big names support Bastille at GrandWest

Two top South African artists have been confirmed as supporting acts for award winning band, Bastille, at their upcoming concert at GrandWest. Opening for Bastille at the one night only concert at the Grand Arena on 4 October 2017 are Matthew Mole and Opposite the Other.
“With less than a month to go until this much anticipated concert, the countdown has certainly begun. We look forward to welcoming top South African talent to our stage alongside Bastille. It promises to be a super show,” says GrandWest’s PR and Promotions Manager, Elouise Matthys, adding that there are limited tickets still available.

Mole has carved a niche for himself on the local music scene since 2012. His second album Run reached number one on iTunes South Africa as well as Gold Sales Status. The album’s first single “Run” was a hit with fans, achieving Platinum Status. Mole also travels the country to perform for fans at festivals such as 5FMs Cape Town Live Loud, 947s Joburg Day and East Coast Radio’s Durban Day. Mole's music continues to make the Top 40 charts on South African radio including the likes of 5FM, 94.7 Highveld Stereo, KFM and East Coast Radio amongst others.

Opposite the Other is a young band that has quickly risen to musical fame, with their first ever single “Ride Away” charting at number eight on the Spotify Global Viral Charts. Their second single “Stutter Love” charted at number one on 5FMs SA Top 30 and was voted number five in 5FM Top 100 songs of 2016. The band also collaborated with Jimmy Nevis to write the hit song “Control Alt Delete” and it enjoyed airplay across South Africa. In their short career, Opposite the Other has shared the stage with well known local and international artists. The band recently opened for American band, The Lumineers, on the South African leg of their Cleopatra World Tour. This South African band has also performed alongside Jeremy Loops, Matthew Mole, Beatenberg, Al Bairre and Gangs of Ballet.
